review 1: I have to say I actually purchased this book by accident, but decided to give it a chance anyway. I read it non-stop and could not put it down. The writing is very "real" as in real-life. I could put myself in most of the characters shoes at one point in time or another. I actually cried in the last part of the book, I was very moved by the life lesson. I found myself thinking about my own life and issues long after reading. I would recommend this book to anyone, I don't see any different type of reader not appreciating this book.
review 2: Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed by this book. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I was irritated with all of the characters besides Roxanne. All the other characters were boring (Thomas), annoying (A
... moreudrey), lazy (Walt), and lacked self confidence (Skyla). The only time this book showed any sign of life was the last 10%. The story itself had promise, but I don't think that it lived up to the full potential. The book was an easy read, and the last few chapters were very good, but I wish the entire book could have had the same urgency as the end. less
