review 1: This is an enjoyable read. The action starts within the first few pages and keeps going which makes it difficult to put it down. I made my family wait around for me to finish the book before I was willing to go out to lunch today. Angie is very likeable and the reader feels an immediate connection to the main character. Her family is fun and quirky. Karen McQuestion does a great job painting a vivid picture in the mind's eye through amazing descriptions. The plot is intriguing with twists and turns in all the right places. It kept me guessing, while wondering where the author would ultimately take the story. The ending is realistic, leaving the reader satisfied after the final page is turned.I would highly recommend this story to all, middle school and up. It's a quick, sa... moretisfying read that grabs the reader and refuses to let go.
review 2: TITLE: "Favorite"AUTHOR: Karen McQuestionPUBLISHER: Amazon EncoreRATING: 5AGES: 14+REVIEW: This is an amazing story and one easily readable within a day. Angel Favorite's mother disappears when she is in the third grade, never to be seen again. The police soon give up the search and Laura Favorite is assumed dead. Suddenly Angel is attacked at 16 years of age only five years after her mother's disappearance and no one understands why. As accusations begin to fly and strange things start to happen, it leaves you wondering if this was simply a coincidence or could it have something to do with her mother's disappearance. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down. This is a dynamic YA mystery that will leave you breathless, the characters are very well developed, the plot heavily thought out and the writing is superb. Author Karen McQuestion is definitely one to watch and I intend to read more of her future and past work! less

An interesting plot, but a little too slow moving, perhaps a little too young for my taste.

almost a "cute" quirky little mystery. A VERY short quick read.
