review 1: This book was a very sad book. It wasn't very long. It was about June, a 58 year old woman who only has 1 more day left to live, and in that day she reflects on all the highlights of her life. The sad part about it was just imagining yourself in that position. And the husband, was extremely disturbing. And the last sentence of the book has to probably be the most gross and disturbing ending I have ever read from a book. I almost bursted out in tears. So sad that someone so sick would think that his own daughter was jealous about him. That just showed how sick that dad actually was... It was disturbing, and shocking... Very good introduction to Karin Slaughter. By reading this book I am looking forward to reading more from her. 5/5 stars.

... moreaughter! This is the story of June, a 50 something woman, who is literally on her death bed. She is dying of cancer and is no longer able to speak. So she thinks. She thinks about her only child Grace and why Grace did what she did. Her estranged husband was recently released from prison and stays near her bedside. The story is very descriptive of what I could only image is the pain and misery of dying. As June thinks back to the tragic tale of her only child Grace, her husband reveals a disturbing secret. The ending is shocking and you will question who received vengeance. less
