review 1: I enjoyed the theme and mysticalness of this book. THe book had a great plot leading us through the story and how it developed gradualy throughout. I though that the concept of under water and above water lifestyles was entiuging. This is also just me but I liked how some parts were backed by science to make the book a little more realistic. This book was a fun and exciting read earning it full stars.
review 2: 2 ½ starsYA novels are always a gamble but as this story takes place in such a unique setting I decided to give it a go.**Storyline:Great chunks of land have slid into the ocean due to global warming and everybody is crammed into skyscrapers. Space becomes a sought after commodity.A brave few live under the sea and grow the food that keeps humankind al... moreive. Ty is a teenage boy who was born and raised on the sea floor, and he's developed some unique abilities while growing up under the deep blue sea. These underwater settlers reminded me of the pioneers of the old wild west and no wild west is complete without its outlaws…….**YA that appeal to a more adult reader base are sometimes difficult to find but when you do they are absolute gems. This one missed the mark for me but it was an easy, sometimes quite fun, read with really envious underwater gadgetry that made me want to plan my next scuba diving trip. less
