review 1: "Royal colto da un impeto di amore e di stima per il suo coraggio, la prese per mano e recitò tra sé una preghiera di ringraziamento per la fortuna di averla trovata in mezzo alla neve." Chi di noi non vorrebbe amore e stima dall'uomo di cui è innamorata?! A parte questo il romanzo in alcuni tratti mi è sembrato poco chiaro nel suo sviluppo anche se ammetto di averlo iniziato, passato a mamma e poi una volta che lei l'ha terminato l'ho ripreso in mano... il che non aiuta, però, anche se ho cercato di riprendere in mano i fili della trama la sensazione di alcuni passaggi troppo frettolosi (come per esempio quando Jocelyn comunica la rottura del fidanzamento con Royal) e poco chiari mi è rimasta...
review 2: This was my first time reading a Kat Martin nove... morel and I enjoyed it. There were some holes in the story that bothered me however an overall satisfactory read. I did wish Royal would grow a pair a few times. It is difficult for me reading historic romance novels sometimes when the heroes get so wrapped up in honor and duty. Obviously these are qualities romance novels enthusiasts expect to see in the Duke or Viscount or whoever but about two thirds of the way through I wanted to shout at Royal "YOU LOVE LILY! FRIGGIN MARRY LILY ALREADY!" But he eventually saw the light and simply took longer than I would have liked. less
