review 1: The contrivance is still here, and I still don't care. It's an unusual protagonist, as you both are rooting for her, and, at the same time, you are hoping she gets her just comeuppance, because the author does not try to glamorize what she does AT ALL.It's easy to see that our protagonist is a psychopath, and a very realistic one at that. She's still human, even if there is something terribly wrong with her.And that is why I can't put this book series down.
review 2: I found this one a bit harder to read than the first two. Ariana is clearly flawed and somewhat evil, but as a protagonist, I still wanted her to succeed and figure things out. ... moreetween the two. I'm not sure where the next novel is going to go.There are a few flaws in the book itself, which i found extremely distracting. For example, Bridget called Kaitlynn "Kaitlynn" twice, despite the fact that everyone except Ariana knows her as Lillian. That's just poor editing. less
