review 1: Like another reviewer said, my issue with this book is "Personality Transplants". All around.Some were slow happening (the Alpha Bitch) others were sudden, like Palmer and the protagonist herself, who, instead of the resourceful, human and very very flawed person she was in the first book, she became a parody of herself (I suspect that the author just wanted to be done with the series, which also explains the dangling plot threads).I didn't mind so much how the book ended, but rather that it felt like this was a parent's choice between two children - this and the main series (which I intend to pick up eventually).Other than that, the book is cracktastic, and even though I tore through it, it was unfulfilling, unlike the others. The author is still awesome at upping the ant... moree but this time it was so stupid that I couldn't really, for a moment, believe it to be true. She was just FORCING things that made no sense to cause conflict.And for that 2.5 stars.
review 2: This is a bittersweet moment. Finishing the Privilage series is so sad but yet I'm also happy and proud to say that I read all the private books and all of the sequels, and prequels (including, last christmas, and book of spells). I loved every single one of them. Kate brian is such an amazing author. I'm just sad that Arianna had to die. I wish she could've just ran away wiht Jasper. But I guess as long as Arianna lived she would have the temptation to kill Reed. and reed obviously can't die, b/c she's the protagonist in the series and arianna is the "villian". Truthfully I found Arianna to be much more of an entertaining charecter than Reed. Even though Arianna is a crazy murderer and blames all of her problems on Reed I still feel like I'm more like Arinna. I for sure liked the privilage series more than the private series.I wish that there were more of them but there's nothing we can do about it now. Arianna is dead, so its not like Kate brian can just decide to write another one. I liked the love interests in Privilage. Even though Palmer ended up being a jerk, I'm not ganna lie that there was a time where I even swooned over him! And he isn't even real!! But Jasper is the total package. I love Lexa, Maria, Sommie, and don't forget Brigit! Oh and Tahiria. Every one of these books were exhilarating and left me on the edge of my seat. I'm truhtfully glad that Arianna killed Dr.Meloni that guy anooyed me so much!One day I'm ganna read all of the private/privilage books again. I can not wait for that day. less
