review 1: Interesting, I thought there was no way that this would get wrapped up in any satisfying way but it really did. The monster was a bit odd, i thought the way it was handled was interesting, mostly i felt bad for it. There were a lot of technical questions i had. The bad guy was pretty obvious so it killed me when they were like "who could possibly be doing this?". I felt bad about the traitor i wish Vex and Xandra had eaten them... I really hope there are more books from the Immortal Empire.
review 2: I really enjoyed all three of Kate Locke's unique "The Immortal Empire" books. Written in the first person, they're fast paced, exciting, and fun to read, with all kinds of clever ideas and a unique take on how the European aristocracy became "undead." Good chara... morecter development, exciting plot, and a richly described and compelling alternative London. A cool universe I look forward to visiting again, and a trilogy I highly recommend. less
