review 1: I loved this book, written by a self professed band geek. As others have described it, it's "Glee" meets "The Shining", when a high school state music festival is held in a hotel with an evil past. I think it's also part "Sixth Sense". I wish I could have read it straight through because once I started I just wanted to keep going. The first full paragraph of the book, from the point of view of the bride's 12 year old sister, is laugh out loud funny. This might be my favorite book of the year, so far. But I am a sucker for "The Shining."

... more Koontz with tortured souls and dynamic soulless people. Add a taste of Nancy Drew, girl detective, and all the 80s teen movies of John Hughes and you almost have it. Begs to be a movie. less

Really fun little book. It even had a few surprising twists (and one unsurprising one).

3.5. Not sure about the last 70 pages, but it was a fun ride up to that point.
