review 1: This was one of the strangest books I have ever read. I liked the premise and plot of the story, but it was so hard to follow. There were so many times I couldn't distinguish if the story was being told from the actual killer's point of view, or the main character's thoughts on the killer's point of view. Because of this, it made it very difficult for me to follow when the POV switched back to the main character herself. If this, plus thoughts and memories of Catherine's, had been presented in a slightly clearer manner, I would have enjoyed reading this story so much more.
review 2: More like 2.5 stars. Good idea. Poor transitions. You never know who is talking. She switches narrators often, I think in an attempt at cleverness, but fails. Capital F fails. S
... morehe is no Virginia Woolf, so stream of conscience writing is not a good format for her. I also had a problem with the nickname "Man of Crows". It seemed like she came up with this moniker and then needed a reason for it but couldn't really create one. The main character was juvenile and annoying. The secondary characters were weird to the point of creepy. I would have killed all of them given the chance. The ending made me say "meh". less

Terrible! This book just seemed like random ramblings. At the end, I had no idea what the POINT was.

Very well written and thoroughly researched. Intricately plotted. Overall a great read.

I rarely can't finish a book. But every now and then there's an exception.
