review 1: 3.5 for this classic plot that while wonderfully told, by an author I'm a fan of... steam and happily ever after and all, I just found it alright. Like on a grading scale, I'd give it a B+. Basically both characters have known eachother since they were kids, she is bound and detirmined that he is going to see her as a grown up woman vs that little girl...you get the idea. It's New Years Eve, snowing, she's on her way to the party, (he's a police officer), her car gets high jacked of all things! Guess who comes upon the scene, takes her back to his sister's log cabin to ride the snow storm out? Yeah, so like I said...it's cute and all, but just ok.
review 2: This is the first time for me in reading this author but she has it coming out of the club of this serie... mores that this club centers in . Also since it is not the same author that has been doing the novels I know it will be a different perspective too. I do like that on occasion so it keeps the flow going with like more added spice to the flavor. This club sure is a busy place and has been responsible for lots of comings and goings with it also being the basis of several relationships. This author brings into the picture Ridley who is looking to meet up with one at the club because he known to go there so what better place for her to show him her stuff. But what she sees after the heat cools down is not the face of the one she thought she would see. Garrett is no stranger to Ridley either. They both have history with each other and that history will repeat itself but with a different path this time. They both will realize this is something they will face head on with their own reasons. The chemistry they have between each other will though be their undoing and with the heat and explosion being the kind that will seal their fate. Garrett will also be brought to his knees which is a task that only Ridley could of done. Such a enjoyable course this author takes you on with these two and a very pleasing outcome will be reached by the two of them. Received a copy for a honest review. less
