review 1: When Khan's sister-in-law predicted he would meet his mate soon, Khan retreated to the safety of his home. Khan didn't want a mate, especially not a human one. Monica Preston has been running for awhile from a man who she never even had a relationship with, the man is demented and has been brutal with her and this time she is not sure she will survive if she is caught again.Khan feels bad for his mate, but he doesn't want a relationship with her. As his protective instinct kicks in though, Khan realizes that he is falling for his mate. Monica though got the message loud and clear, not wanting or trusting Khan as well. When Khan decides to make up for the error of his ways and win Monica's heart, he begins to win her over but can he keep her safe?Pretty good story, Kha... moren was pure jerk in the beginning but once he clues in he wins you over. I liked Monica, since I had not read the first book I did have some questions that filtered into this story. Going to have to go back and read the first book.
review 2: Okay so it was an okay book. *SPOILER* Okay the heroine has a crazy stalker coming after her. She meets the hero, he claims her they fight about it then wham bam thank you mam they have hit the sheets. So I guess that was okay but the real reason I didn't enjoy this book was how disturbing the bad guy crazy stalker was. So he has his "crazy moments" where he goes off killing people and then doesn't remember, kills women and rapes them with foreign objects bottles, shears etc. plus he ended up murdering his parents -his mom by slitting her throat and his father by blugeoning him to death with a fireplace stoker thing. So by the time the hero BARELY rescues the dying heroine by "changing" her and going all panther on the bad guy's ass I was kind of like thank God the bad guy's dead and I can quit reading. I don't like murder mysteries that's my mom's department. So it was just okay and I probably won't be reading it again. less
