review 1: This book was fantastic! But, sad, too. The sad part is when Thunderheart gets thought about by Foalan, and Thunderheart was a grizzly bear who found Foalan on a ice shaft in a river because he had a splayed paw. Packs get rid of pups when they have bad things that happened. Like, they died, they have no legs, they have no eyes, because they would be bad for the pack, so this grizzly was charmful enough to take Foalan as a cub/pup. This was Foalan's Second Milk Giver. I love this book because Foalan actually goes into a pack, and become a 'gnaw wolf'.
review 2: This is a great book about the lone wolf Faolon who was born with a twisted paw and now has made it back to his own pack of the Mcduncen clan, but life as the lowest ranking wolf of the pack as a knaw wo... morelf is a hard life, and all knaw wolves must eat last and along the way he meets new wolves as knaw wolves of his own pack and other clans can faolon survive as a knaw wolf of the Mcdncen clan. Knaw wolf heep is jealous of Faolon, Heep sets Faolon up for a murder of a wolf pup, he may just be the lowest ranking wolf and was raised by a bear named thunderheart she took him like her own, he may be different then the other wolves by standing on his hind legs but he still follows the codes of the wolf packs.read and find out...???????this book is my 2nd favorite author and is a page turner trust me you could never put the book down once you get into it!I recommend this book becouse this wolf is so...well hard to explain but he may have just joined the Mcduncen clan as the lowest ranking wolf of the pack but not the only one but really you would have to find out for your self and see... less

This is a adventuresome book you can sink your teeth in. Faolan tries again and again to have acceptance. He learns to fit into wolf society despite having been raised by a grizzly bear.There is a lot of drama and tragedy. I liked the part that when Faolan had went on the journey to kill moose and store it for the winter. It was surprising When Faolan was brave enough to go in the front of the line in the pack and hunt down the moose,but he was punished because he did that.If you like to get away from reality by reading fantasies like me,this book is for you. This is very well written book and the characters will pull you in closer. I believe it is very good to read as well as the series and many will enjoy it!

of coarse i read book 1, but not the owl one,im to lazy and this book it too far gone from me XDthis book is great (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫･*:.｡. .｡.:*･not one of the best books but great for middle school and elementary studentsafter Faolan made it back to his clan, he was treated like an outcast. now he's a gnaw wolf(the lowest rank in the wolf pack) Faolan was framed for a crime of a murder of one of the female pack wolf. His life is on the line as he tries to find the true culprit. i want faolan as a pet. too bad huh?
