review 1: This series is just what I love about reading! I was introduced to Hayes and Ales with book one and I love how the writer brings in both of their aspects in this book. They are such great characters and I love them and all of their southern Magnolia flaws. I wish that the book was longer because at the length it was I read through it in a matter of 2 days. I'm very excited for book 3. Great read.
review 2: I did not realize The White Glove War was the second in the Magnolia League, and I as I began reading I had the sense that some things didn't add up and that I was missing some background information. That being said, the author did a good job at catching the reader up. I mostly understood what was going on.The story was original, petty beauty-focused magic l... moreocated in the south, with southern belles, but the writing felt like a lot of other books I've read. I was interested enough to find out how the book ended, but not interested enough to read the next book or backtrack and read the first. less
