review 1: Much like Girls in Trucks I was completely captivated by this story. Crouch's writing is just perfect and her narrative voice is both comforting and extremely unsettling. This book actually gave me nightmares but it isn't scary in the least. Hannah's fears mirrored many I have although I am glad to not have had such a traumatic event happen in my childhood. The twist in Palmer's side of the story was completely unsuspecting. Just an overall amazing novel. I can't wait to read the rest of Crouch's novels...which I happen to have sitting on my desk.

... morevelopment and there is absolutely no difference between the two narrative voices. I'm one of those people that will finish a book that I start no matter what, so thankfully it was a quick read, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. less

I enjoyed Palmer's story , but found the whole mystery around the dad's disappearance pretty dull.
