review 1: May and the gang are back at it with a little help. Tracking down all of the shards proved to be more difficult than anticipated. Throw in a little Demon power struggle and you have yourself a big adventure! Oh how I love Jim the Demon dog. I kid you not, he makes me laugh. Just picturing him swinging his new doo wondering if he would look as good as Gabriel in dreads had me rolling. And as much as you would like to hate Magoth, he has his humorous moments as well. He is starting to grow on me a bit. The end is a real shocker. Was not expecting that and can't wait for the next book!
review 2: Really enjoyed May's and Gabriel's series. It really felt like MacAlister did a nice job of wrapping up a lot of different story lines in her Dragon world. I am... more looking forward to reading the next three books or Light Dragons featuring Baltic's mate. I am going to be taking a break first thou, kind of a palette cleanser if you will. There are some other recent releases that I want to read first. Happy for May and Gabriel, I hope to see them married in future books and I wouldn't mind seeing how Drake and Aisling handle being parents. I would also like to know who the heck Sally really is too. Again my friends this is a very funny author and her books are such fun. Check them out. less

I really liked all the new findings in this book. Also, sometimes when I'm reading MacAlister's books, sometimes I have to check and re-check to make sure I'm clear on who all the characters are because there are a lot of them. This book continues May's quest to reunite the dragon heart and free herself fromt he shard within her. Gabriel gets to strut his kick ass-ness in this book, which I love. Sometimes, I find him a little soft. Drake stands out as a leader amongst all the wyverns in the weyr. Aisling and Drake have a wonderful surprise, and Magoth, Cyrene, and Jim are all bat shit crazy and hilarious all the way through the story. You're gonna love this one!

Happy ending. Gotta love a happy ending. Kinda left some loose ends that will need to be tidied up... but I suppose that is what the Light Dragons books are for. Gonna with to read them for a bit, though. I wonder if they'll be about Kostya and Cyrene. Excitement. So, May got the shard out of her, got the heart put back together, sharded again and ended up being part dragon. :) Happy day. Now she's part doppelganger, part dragon. :D Happy day.
