review 1: Oh man, what a bloody brilliant read. Once I started I could not put it down, I was even reading whilst cooking! A story chock full of action packed suspense with two brilliant characters. LOVED Jack to bits!I felt the story was more focussed on the action/suspense rather than the romance but the tension between them was still there throughout the story, and this did not affect the read at all for me. I was so so happy that they got their second shot at love together, if ever there was a couple deserving their HEA it's Jack and Sophie.LOVED it!
review 2: 3.25 stars. Jack and Sophie. Action packed and well-paced romantic suspense. I enjoyed it up to the end, which I felt was weak. The misunderstanding was lame,and the resolution of the plot was minimal and l... moreeft me unfulfilled. I also wish the hero/heroine would have resolved the I really am who you think I am identity issues earlier in the book. I would have liked to see more of the "after" from that conflict. A personal gripe - the hero's real name was Sam Kelly (he changed it to Jack after assuming a new identity), and the heroine was Sophie. These are the exact same names as the leads in Maya Banks's KGI series book 2, which is a favorite of mine so this really stands out to me. Made me keep thinking about those characters while trying to get into these characters. I don't mean to insinuate any duplication, the characters here are wholly different and well developed and written. Just the name thing bugged me. Overall I was entertained - prior to the weak ending. I hope some of the loose threads left here are picked up in later novels. less
