review 1: Kind of a mish-mosh of characters and plot lines. I see where Cross needed t introduce folks so that they can later have their own stories, but this one suffered a little as a result. The main female character was a little too stubborn and unwilling to listen to good counsel for my taste, but I guess that's what passes for independent thought. Did not make her any more likable though. Overall, I'm willing to stick with Cross for the duration of the series; I have a feeling that this will all redeem itself over the course of the five book series.
review 2: 4.5 starsThe storyline and plot was excellently written. It was entertaining and realistic. It also had a lot of details about terrorism and war. I thought there could have been more romance though and a b... moreit more sex... lol. I also felt Bryn fell in love rather abruptly with Declan. Too short a time span. However, I still enjoyed the novel as a whole. I would probably categorize it as a thriller with romance rather than a romantic suspense. less
