review 1: This was my first book by Kaylea Cross, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! While it's classified as a romantic-suspense, I'd say it's fairly light on the romance. Don't let that stop you from reading it though! This book is full of action that had me on the edge of my seat, unable to put it down. It's very obvious to me that the author has done a great deal of research in planning this novel, and it's definitely paid off. The characters and their actions seemed real, the setting and plot totally plausible. I especially appreciated the look through the eyes of the enemy, and I found his motivations believable. This book has left me with a new appreciation of the danger our men and women in uniform face every day. I've picked up the rest of the series, and am lo... moreoking forward to reading the rest. A book that held me so firmly in its thrall from start to finish deserves a 5 star rating from me!
review 2: I wish I could give this book 10 stars it was so good. This is the first book I have read by Kaylea Cross and it won't be the last! As soon as I'm done writing this review I'm heading over to Amazon to buy some more of her books. :) This was one of the best military romantic suspense books I have ever read, and I've read hundreds. If you have never read anything in this genre I encourage you to start here. You will not be disappointed. It has passion, action, suspense and much more. less
