review 1: 1.5 stars This was a book that I kind of enjoyed and kind of hated at the same time. My rating would have been higher had my enjoyment won out at the end. I ended the book more disappointed than anything. The things I didn't like are: 1. Scott's naivete. I found it difficult to believe in someone being that sheltered being able to jump right into a brand new life with the guys from Collars & Cuffs. 2. Ben! Not only was he a failure as a Dom, but he was also a moron. Stupid people who make bad decisions are annoying, not lovable. 3. The sex scenes weren't hot. Scott wasn't sexy, he seemed more like a damaged child emotionally and mentally. Ben was incapable righting all the wrong done to Scott. Those two being together never felt right. 4. The entire plot w... moreas comprised of weak points.What did I like? I liked Scott, Alex, and Peter. I did like Scott, I just wasn't seeing him as an adult ready to be in a relationship with Ben. Alex and Peter were his friends and I enjoyed seeing them together and being able to see where they were at in their lives.
review 2: I would tend to agree that this book did have a few moments that had me conflicted. Events which had you think "Would that REALLY happen?" which seemed to distract me from the story at times. However, as a whole the story was very relate-able to anyone who suffers with insecurities, just needing to feel wanted it is a very compelling story. As well as giving a great insight into the world of BDSM. As a whole the book kept me wanting to read more and that to me is enough in itself. less
