review 1: I love this author. One of my all time favorite series of books is the Eve, The Bain, The Human. Loved that series. This series was too much fairy tale ending for me. I was 30% thru the book, true love had taken hold and I was wondering what was going to happen. It was all too perfect. I didn't fall in love with Drake. I didn't know enough about him. His family seemed sweet but all I got from him was a lopsided grin. And the resolution to the "problem" was too convenient. Too harsh, too sad.
review 2: I was very very much tempted to give it full 5 stars, but there are a few reasons I gave it 4. At the beginning of book I felt that it will be a book which I'll rate a 3 maybe as the beginning few chapters, though very enjoyable, were like fast forward version
... moreof a very cute story, which later I realized was exactly the plot of story. And that's why I completely adored it and couldn't keep it down even at 2.30 am at night! Keary taylor is one of my few most favorite authors because they really reflects what is and could be. Right from "what I didn't say" to this one its a emotional roller coaster ride where even though you know where the story is headed but you can't help being mindlessly curious about the road reaching its destination. Ever After Drake is exactly that. And the main reason it touched me is because the characters are so authentic that it feels like they actually exist. They are not larger than life or "kings" and "queens" or "perfection" and "sacrifice" (my personal words) like in many other stories. And they are not dumb to go buying problems because they are too egoistic to talk... I could actually relate to them and confidently say that I would react the same way they do in a particular situation. So i'll say, well done keary taylor.. It was completely satisfying book, a dream come true for readers like me who loves lots of emotions like love, emotional torture, passion, care, awesomeness all wrapped in such a beautiful package. Crazily looking forward to read lake's story. Dont take too long for that pleaseeeeeeeee! :-P less
