review 1: To say this book exceeded my expectations is an understatement. Much opposite to my preference, this book had way too much descriptions, details. I was tempted to skip through them all but worried that they may be crucial to understanding the plot later into the story. The descriptions itself were good, they drew images in your head, creating the world the author wanted to show, however, I am not much of a details person. But a quarter ways into the story, the plot got intriguing. I enjoyed the story process and would like to see Ari's character develop. Although one thing that bothered me is the relationship between Ari and Sebastian. There was no transition from how he felt towards her when he first met her to how he felt later on. I just couldn't see it, or imagine it f... moreor that matter. I felt like the author rushed the relationship between them. A little more developed would have been great. But I enjoyed the read and glad I stuck through the end instead of putting it away. This is all my personal opinion.
review 2: A BOOK WORTH READING! I haven't heard much hype about this book which is surprising because I could hype about it all day. I personally enjoyed the writing style of this book, and the characters are easy to relate with. Ari, the main character is a real misfit, she doesn't really fit in anywhere and I instantly connected with her on that level. Once you have a certain bond with a character or several characters, the books seem to get a lot better. I found myself attached to this book almost instantly. It had me surprised and feeling a lot of emotions. Also, a plus is the cover! Not that covers really matter, its the material on the inside that really matters but having the captivating cover always is nice and I love it. On first sight, it made me curious and the title also caught my eye, it seemed real mysterious so I had to pick it up and i'm pretty glad I did! I give this book 4 stars out of 5! Not every book is perfect, there are always those minor things we wish we could change but over-all I thought this book was good. It had me on my toes and i'm happy I chose to read it! less
