review 1: Beatrice and Douglas have known each other since childhood. They’ve always teased each other, but now Douglas wants to have a serious relationship with Beatrice – he just doesn’t know how to go about it. He tries annoying her to get her attention. She thinks he’s a playboy. Things get more complicated when their rooms are broken into and their building site is vandalized. This is a romance so, of course, everything works out in the end. The fun and interesting part is getting there. Beatrice and Douglas are both enjoyable characters. They’re likable but flawed which makes for some great humor. The author’s writing style is engaging and while her stories are generally short, they’re always entertaining. This book doesn’t take itself too seriously (always a pl... moreus in my book) which makes it a great read for the beach or a train ride. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking for some light entertainment to leave the real world and its problems behind for a while.
review 2: 3 1/2 stars, this was a cute quick and at times funny book. Beatrice and Douglas have known each other since they were young they have never gotten along and everyone knows it. To make matters worse they both work for Beatrice's uncle and find themselves around each other more than they would like. Beatrice is hard headed and strong she won't let anyone push her around, Douglas is irritating and pushy. So when they both end up on the same project together Beatrice makes it very known she isn't happy but Douglas's attitude is different and when they find themselves winding up together Beatrice is shocked but also though she doesn't want to admit it happy.Douglas picked on Beatrice as much as he could but it wasn't because he couldn't stand her it was because he always liked her and now that he has found his in he won't let Beatrice go no matter what. As Beatrice and Douglas start their relationship they quickly find themselves falling in love but someone is doing their best to ruin their work sight. And as the vandalisms keep building it becomes more obvious that someone has it out for them. This was a quick read that was light and fun, Kelly Lucille is a great author that knows how to write her heroes. It was nice to see the funny side of Mrs. Lucille's writing in this book, and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next. less

Enjoyable read. Great banter. I like Beatrice and Douglas is all growly possessive and jealous.
