Sullivan “Van” Tate and his foster sister Chloe Tate are forced to see each other after their tycoon foster dad dies. Chloe is almost a decade younger than Van and has always admired him, even though they did not grow up together. Van’s father tells him before he dies to take of Chloe and he wants to take the job seriously without giving in to his deepest desires. But can they stay away from each other?

Hmmm. Not so sure about this one.

The drama and daddy issues were a bit too much for me in this novel. I thought the characters acted a bit childish at times and the whole “foster-sibling” relationship was focused on too much (I don’t even think it’s taboo, especially when they weren’t raised together) but the pace of the story was well done and the racy scenes were picante!

Overall it wasn’t my favourite novel by Jackie Ashenden but I still enjoy her writing and the other characters in this series seem to have interesting stories so I will probably read on!

What did you think of this novel? Do you mind the whole foster sibling relationships? Let me know if the comments below!
