review 1: Atticus, Granuaile and his mentor the Arch-druid are back. With the binding of Granuaile and the release of the arch-druid the druid population on earth has increased by 300% but someone is trying to kill them. Granuaile and Atticus are apart for most of this story but they come together (of course) when they need to the most. We meet Granuaile's father and a few new creatures as well. This is a fast paced, entertaining tale. You get to learn about myths and legends and you get great fighting scenes.
review 2: I have enjoyed all of the previous books in this series, but this was boring and ridiculous. The 3 different points-of-view were distracting and did not work. There were so many maudlin musings on the nature of love, life, the universe and everything, whi... morech made me feel faintly nauseous. There is so much more I could say, but this book just isn't worth the bother! Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless. Kevin Hearne is trying to be too clever by half - and he isn't half as clever as he thinks he is. less
