review 1: Attitude, Behaviour, Character...think about these things for your child. Where do you want them to be? I loved this book. I had so many Aha moments. I listened to the Audio version but I want to read it for myself again and highlight those areas that connected so much for me. I felt like putting up reminders that I will continue to look at everyday as I walk through this parenting journey. Moms of Boys(MOBs)..this is for you
review 2: Straight-forward writing style. Christian influence but not heavy, annoying biblical references every two seconds. Approaches his writing from a psychology background so appreciate that. Overall though this is an recap book of several of his other books I felt like - seems all his books have a section or references to birth order
... more and the 3 big parenting styles. It touches on all elements of parenting a boy, but none of them really that in depth. Lots of reminders of things you should already know of being a mom of boys. An important thing to know about Dr. Leman is in all of his books I've read he points back at the parent ALOT. If you can't handle reflecting on your own behavior, history, etc... you will not like his books because those things are key to then putting your reflections into action as a parent. This particular book highlights a BUNCH of information for a single mom - would be a great gift to a single mom of boy(s). less
