review 1: I truly feel sorry for the author whose sons died tragically. I think this book is a result of her mind trying to find solace for her grief. Having gone through a personal tragedy myself, I can emphasize with her. But asking ourselves the question - 'Does this book prove the existence of an afterlife?', a rational answer would be 'no'. The writings about realms, high good souls et cetera seem very innocent and childish. If the facts in this book are indeed true, then current scientific knowledge would have to be turned upside down! All the physical laws have to be rewritten. It would also have caused a religious upheaval.I would definitely like to believe in the existence of an afterlife, but we are nowhere near to proving this. Is the mind separate from the body? Is consc... moreiousness the result of biochemical processes within the brain? Science and religion have to work together to answer these critical questions. This book has done little to convince or give a rational explanation.
review 2: if this would had been the only book on the topic maybe I would have enjoyed it, however I read this after reading the journey of souls by Michael Newton and parts of Laws of spirit world reminded me of the former, however LOTSW becomes unique in its introduction of god, angels, devils, sin, temptation, discussion of good and evil which at the end what does not conclude stating what set of beliefs should the reader adhere to in order to define what is good, what is sin etc. What really rang some bells was the discussion of suicide. However at the end, with different words said the same that classic religions say. My best guest is that the author had some thoughts on this topic, which maybe was against the author's beliefs. less
