review 1: 3.5 stars. After the pervy vibe I got from the first book, this one with it's fairly normal and sweet romance was a nice surprise.Agree that the poetic and florid imagery and pining gets overwhelming after awhile. (I'm more of a prose person however.)While it's nice to get a glimpse of an unfamiliar-to-me culture and era, it also makes me very glad to be a modern woman with choices. I have a way to earn my own living, and no need to be dependent on men. All this pining and waiting Ehwa and her mom do for their men...wow, I'm glad I'm not stuck with that kind of a limited life!
review 2: I feel so calm & peaceful looking at these pencil drawings. I can stare at them and study them. They are intriguing and also relaxing. The story is engaging and interesting,
... more yet also progresses with a calm rhythm. This is a book I could read again & again. Getting something from it's quiet wisdom, each time.Update: Finished the series. This series, and especially this book, brought me wisdom and peace. All delivered in poetic words and satisfying, beautiful pencil drawings. The drawings made me want to learn to draw better. I found myself spending much time reflecting on certain pages - the words & intricate drawings. Really loved it. less

Saya suka ungkapan-ungkapan yang ditulis Kim dalam buku ini. Seperti membaca puisi.
