review 1: It's a nice addition to Speechless which tells of one night when Travis and Drew go out to a cafe where Drew has to perform. After the gig they meet two other gay guys who apparently are the characters from another author's story.I really enjoyed the interaction between Travis and Drew, because even though the other can't talk they could still communicate and understand each other like they were actually talking. It was a sweet scene to read.
review 2: A lovely short story revisiting the characters of Speechless. I think you'd need to read them in order as in many ways this serves as an extended epilogue. This is pure sugar, I caught myself smiling wide while reading. It's a fairytale HEA with everything coming up roses, but hell sometimes that's what we need to
... more read, for me I discovered this at the perfect time. I really like these characters who manage their difficulties (disabillities, lack of employment) with dignity and are shaping up to make a strong loving couple able to face anything together. The secondary characters do have the feel of being from another book (Good Bones) but it's tantalising rather than invasive and convinced me to move their novel from want-to-read to buy-now.Only problem I have is that I now really want a day visit to that Futon factory. less

I would have loved this to be a longer story so the couples could build on this great beginning.

Now I will have to read both Speechless (Travis and Drew) and Good Bones (Dylan and Chris).
