review 1: This was a really enjoyable read and the romance element was well done. I got a little annoyed by the hero constantly keeping secrets from the heroine 'cos I didn't see the point of it, and I didn't like that he contrived to get her sacked from her job so she'd marry him and that she forgave him so easily, but there was no excess of melodrama surrounding these issues which was nice to see. Characters you can get behind and an interesting take on the unexpected baby plot line made this a good read and I sped through it quite happily. 4 stars.
review 2: This book was really hard for me to get into. Sam’s rambling thoughts distracted me from the story. I was glad I kept reading. There were places that this story really tugged at my heart. Samantha’s brother wa
... mores sick with the flu, and she agreed to clean for him. Everyone warned Sam not to go into one of the guest rooms. The stranger never came out of his room, and wanted to see no one. When she walked into that one room, it was in total disarray, and she went to work cleaning it too. After she was done, the stranger had asked who she was, and why she was there. They both exchanged angry words. She didn’t know why he wouldn’t be thankful for the cleaning she had done. What she didn’t know at the time, was he was blind, and couldn’t see what she had done. That night ended with sparks flying. The chemistry was hot between the two. The story was about Samantha getting pregnant, and how she and Cesare handled the pregnancy and the fact that Cesare was blind. Blind or not he was all alpha male. He wanted to be a father, and he wanted Samantha as his wife. Can the two turn chemistry into a forever kind of love? Sample from chapter 10“My attitude to regaining my sight was why question a gift when you receive it – why wait to enjoy it? If losing my sight has taught me one thing, cara, it is never waste a single moment. Extract the last shred of joy, enjoy what you have before fate decides to snatch it away? less
