review 1: This series must be read in order. The first book is Love On The Line. This is the second book.Do not read hungry... Best advice ever that I was given for reading this series. Either eat before you read or prepare a snack to eat while reading :) Otherwise next thing you know you will be starving and wanting all sorts of food that you just do not have on hand.Jason and Violet are twins who have always been very close so when she falls for his partner Noah he feels a little put out. Things are changing with Noah and Jason feels a bit bereft when his best friend decides not to join the brand new joint task force... He reassures himself he does not want love or a relationship as he owes it to his dead (killed in the line of duty) father to give the job (and only the job) his a... morell. No way anything or anyone will stand in the way... Famous last words! As far as he is concerned everything is just perfect the way it is including weekly lunches with his sister at Mac's Diner. Happy reading :)This story was just as good as the last one and I can't wait to read the next one! Who will fall prey to the love bug next? And what sort of food job will they have? I really like that there is a recipe included at the end of the book so if you are craving the food you can make it for yourself kind of like a reward for finishing the book :)***This series is suitable for adult readers only
review 2: Another hot book from Kimberly Kincaid involving food and hot cops! How can you go wrong. Best part is that these books are novella length. Usually not my cup of tea, but only because I don't feel the stories have ample time to develop. It's different if you are using them as an epilogue to a series or full length novel. However, Ms. Kincaid has a way of putting her characters together and even though the story is short, the timeline isn't rushed. I enjoyed the banter between not only the main characters, but also the supporting characters as well. And we've met some of these people in the first book, so it's nice to hear about their lives after their story!Looking forward to the next book in the series. less
