The Line
review 1: So, I liked this book better than the first one, The Line. But it's kind of like I feel The LIne was a 2 1/2 and this book is a 3 1/2. I couldn't give The Line 2 stars and I couldn't give this one 4 stars so take that as you wish. I wish we had the option to give 1/2 stars. Anyway, on to the review. I won't retell the story, many have already done this much better than I could. I will however say that this book had a better flow for me than The Line. It gave more insight into Away and The Others. The characters seem a little under developed and need a little more angst, which is usually how I rate dystopian novels. I will definitely read the final book, The Island. Curious how it will end.
review 2: I was neither excited nor thrilled to read Away. I o
... morenly read it because it happened to be at my local library and I was short on books. As with The Line, this book was very boring and short. This book was too short but if it was any longer I would have probably abandoned it so I am not really sure what to think. On the bright side, this book was not altogether disappointing. There were some parts of the book where I found myself smiling. On the other hand, there was no romance between Rachel and Pathik and I really wanted something to happen between them. It was really sad. Even though this book lacked suspense, it was well-written. I really enjoyed the writing style of this book. However, while reading this book, I felt practically no emotion (except the occasional smile). Overall, this book was well-written but it was unsuspensful and it lacked romance. less

Better than the first book. Disappointed in the ending, though.
