review 1: This is one of those book that you can't describe. Sure, you can tell about the parts of it, but then those parts will sound like the same parts as they are used in other books, so you'll think of those other books, but this book combines all those parts in a new way. It's a detective story. Sort of. There's romance. Maybe. There are lies and mistruths, but the truth isn't necessarily revealed, at least not in a form that we're comfortable calling "Truth." The language is original and brilliant, like something a smartass beat poet might write if he were pretending to be an intellectual, a college professor maybe, but not quite pulling it off. So what have I said about this book? Absolutely nothing. I would say that it speaks for itself, but does it? It speaks, t... morehat is for sure. But I don't think I know on whose behalf it speaks, and the only one I know for sure it has spoken to is me.
review 2: So far I find the book wildly imaginative, entertaining and somewhat laborious to read. It's not the kind of book you can skim through or completely relax with, while reading. You have to be alert and ready for twists and turns and an extremely creative story line. Neither is it the kind of book you read in bed at night to make you sleepy. It's like very contemporary modern art...intriguing and original. Henehan plays around with and has great fun with the language, which at times becomes somewhat tedious. less

Entertaining, but wish I understood even part of what was supposed to be going on...

I had to stop reading this. It got too confusing. I'll try again some other time.
