review 1: This book is dark, and disturbing. It is not necessarily a fave of mine, although there is tenderness, it just comes at the cost of freedom. But with that cost of freedom, grace is actually free... I know that doesn't make sense. Only by reading the book will you be able to understand. It was offensive and disturbing for me and I wanted to give it 3 stars... But that was only because it made me uncomfortable and that isn't fair to the author. It gave me such a range of emotions that although it was disturbing, I had to rate it 4 stars due too giving me that range of emotions... I have confused you now...
review 2: Interesting concept. Girl feels something missing from her life, she finds a Dominant society on an island where she has to give up everything i... morencluding rights and laws to belong to a man she met online. Life isn't what she thought it would be. I wasn't completely sold on this book, but I couldn't stop reading in the middle. I did have to find out what would happen to Grace. It was a little dark, but I did like how it ended. less
