review 1: I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, because the beginning didn't sound for me. A girl with a drinking problem is really not someone I can relate to. Thankfully this book turned out to be so much more than that, and I fell in love with Nathan, and the story was quite entertaining, for a contemporary it really was a page-turner (which I think is less the case for contemporary novels than fantasy or dystopian novels). So it's a solid 3 stars, it's not the glorious DUFF that I liked way more than this one, but still, it was good.
review 2: I was rather annoyed by how annoying the characters were. I didn't really like any of them until halfway through. Whitley changed quite dramatically. She wasn't half bad of a person. I could feel her frustration with her fa
... morether and the situation she was thrust into. Bailey (I think that's the name of Nate (?)'s younger sister) was so annoying and clingy and irritating I wanted to gnash my teeth together. Somehow I restrained myself from doing that. Most parts of the book were rather boring. Now that I think about it, I didn't really like it all that much. But it was good in the moment. Hence, the three stars. less

This was a book that interested me because it had a very cheesy plot.
