review 1: I really enjoyed this book even though it's not the kind of book I typically read. While there's nothing groundbreaking in it about diet, I just found Kris' use of language so vibrant and funny and the diverse range of topics covered on consumption of meat, dairy, grains etc. gave me an opportunity to reconsider my position on these topics and it helped me return to the conscious shopper I hope to always be. I felt like Kris just jumped off the page and her energetic style had a hugely positive impact on me. While I didn't firmly stick to the suggested 21 day cleanse at the back of the book, I did make some big positive changes in my lifestyle and I loved the daily affirmations and reflections for meditation. A lovely positive way to start the day and it's always great to ... moresurround yourself with positive people, even if some of them reach out from a book! I loved it :-)
review 2: This book will change the way I eat. In each chapter Kris shares clean concise knowledge of our bodies and how our food affects it. It's not overly complicated and I found it easy to understand. What I loved:1. She didn't shy away from any aspect. People may be turned off by her detailed chapter on enemas and colonics (step by step instructions) but I found it refreshing. If you've never had to do it it sounds scary and overwhelming, but with Kris's matter-of-fact way of speaking to it I felt like I would really know what to expect, and that took a lot of the fear of the unknown away.2. She spoke the truth about taste changes and how unappealing some of the juices might taste initially, the best approach for new juicers and how to add in different veggies over time. 3. I love that she includes meditation/prayer in the healing processes. Things that turned me off of this book:1. Foul Language. I'd love to recommend this book to people but I hesitate due to the vulgarity in much of the foul language. Unnecessary and unimpressive.2. I understand it can be hard to write an book on nutrition and keep it interesting all at the same time, but I found the "girlfriend" talk to be a bit too syrupy for my taste. I had to roll my eye a lot. Overall Kris shared really good information. The recipes are tasty (more can be found in her cookbook and on her website) and the health benefits just may save your life. less

Some interesting stuff, some fear driven hassle, but more well rounded than some others I've read
