review 1: I became of a fan of Radish's books after reading "The Elegant Gathering of White Swans" many years ago. Like that title this and her others the theme is the bonding of women who are usually very different but find common ground.This one is one of her best. Four women from different backgrounds come together in a court-ordered anger management program led by a female therapist. Over the months of Tuesday night meetings they come to respect one another and themselves through Dr.Bayer's unique theraputic methods. Each woman has a powerful story. Those stories create a page-turning novel. The characters are well drawn - even Dr.Bayer's lovely dog, Phyllis. Highly recommended.
review 2: The book was good and i think every woman of a certain age can identify with t... morehat moment of anger when but by the grace of God you do not cross that line like the characters in the book did. I like Kris Radish's books because they are also about women and the bonds that women form and how we guide and help each other learn and grow and experience life. And i always identify with something in every single one of her characters. While i liked this book i was disappointed. I just felt like she did not go deep enough into developing the characters. we got to know them on the surface but there was so so much more to them and so much more that i wanted to know. less
