review 1: I feel like I just read this book--it's a lot like The Weird Sisters, only compressed into a weekend instead of drawn out over a couple months. I think it might work well as a movie, because of the background settings and the compressed time period. But as a book, it was meh. The writing is fine and the characters are fine, if a little dumb. It's one of those stories where we see conflict through characters from all of their perspectives and then in the end, the secrets come out and everybody sees everybody else's point of view. Feels a bit formulaic and tired.
