review 1: "Keep your hat on. We might end up miles from here."Vonnegut offers his wildly unvarnished opinion on a variety of topics here in advice directed toward graduates, but relevant to anyone who is alive today (or perhaps at any time). As Vonnegut says, 'I just got here myself'.The text is a compilation of graduation speeches delivered at various institutions, and as a result Vonnegut repeats himself with some regularity. I found this useful, however, for sussing out what themes he felt were most important and what ideas he wished to emphasize most. There's a great deal of wisdom along with a great deal of frustration in Vonnegut's words. I expect nearly every reader will find both something to agree with and something to disagree with. Highly recomme... morended.
review 2: Kurt Vonnegut. A muse for the ages. He has taught me so much, and this collection of graduation speeches should be read by everyone. Truly. The ideas that are presented here are all things that we, as humans, should subscribe to. A bit of peace and humanity and a true appreciation of the beauty that we tend to overlook. ONe dayafter reading it and I already find myself thinking in those happy moments, "If this isn't nice, what is?" less

I hope I never have to give a graduation speech because it will never live up to any of these.
