review 1: This series of books is my favorite. This being the 2nd book in this trilogy, was a little slowed but it did end with a bang as well as the first one. I normally have a hard time reading series because they become predictable to me. It was a little because I knew who she (Duaphine) would end up with in the end. But the story line was still good and was exciting. I love this Author and plan to look into other books she has written. I finished this book last week and wasn't able to get up here and write a review, but better late than never.Loved Loved Loved this series.
review 2: I read the first novel in the S.E.C.R.E.T trilogy and while I liked it better than Fifty Shades or the Bared To You series, I pretty much thought, "Meh". S.E.C.R.E.T Shared surprised me:
... more the story telling has significantly improved from the first novel, returning and new characters are more developed and the sex scenes are steamier, longer and damn sexy. Cassie is no longer the student we meet in the first novel: she's confident and since things didn't work out with Will, she's ready to become a recruiter for SECRET. Her recruit is Dauphine, a women whose confidence was shattered after her ex-boyfriend left her and wrote a best selling novel loosely based on her. Dauphine hasn't grown since that time: she still dresses like a retro housewife from the Golden era, she's afraid to fly in an airplane and can't stand not being in control. Despite her obvious flaws, Dauphine is likeable and I think that's why this novel works so well. Also, there are many more plot-lines to follow in this novel than the first (although the amount of "erotic" scenes are pretty much the same but hotter!), which makes it a much better read overall. The author brings back some characters from the first novel, which I think works very well with the storytelling and the situation Cassie is in. It's still not the thinking women's erotica; I don't know if that will ever exist. But in terms of a good summer read that's erotic and well-written, I would recommend this book hands down (or legs up if you like it like that!) less
