review 1: It started out so good but even though this was a reader's choice book I just couldn't like it. The main character, Leo, started out as a decent guy but I don't know if the author 1/2 way through the story thought he needed to spice up his character or what but it didn't work for me. I felt like the author tried to make him tougher/rougher than he should've been. The story just didn't work for me.
review 2: This is a great lawyer mystery novel! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the twists and turns and courtroom drama. From the start, Leo Maxwell has my attention as his brother is shot and the heart-pounding story unfolds. He has to pursue who shot his brother, and the road leads all the way back to Leo's childhood when his mother is murdered. It's an amazi... moreng story of betrayal and corruption as the relationship between the two brothers is shown as the mystery is uncovered and the people involved come to light. If you love a good mystery and enjoy the law, you'll like this book, Bear is Broken. I can't wait to read more from this new author and his character, Leo Maxwell. I definitely recommend this book.
