review 1: And yes, another wonderful, magical story by Laini Taylor. Though a very short one. If you're already a fan of the characters Karou, Zuzana, and Mik, you'll love this. We learn more about each of these characters, get a super cute (but also very funny) romance story, and see more of what one can do with the magical wish-fulfilling 'scuppies' that were already featured in Karou's story. Zuzana is a great narrator: a modern teenager (her use of the phrase "said no one ever" has convinced me that she owns a tumblr), finding herself to be the protagonist of her own fairytale. And all of it taking place in Prague, which is once again made even more magical in the words of Laini Taylor.I want more!
review 2: I absolutely adored this and I'm not too sure why. I think ... moreit was a combination of the humor and just how sweet everything was. Zuzana and Mik's relationship are adorable and while I appreciated their lighthearted presence in the trilogy to offset all the angst that was being thrown at us, it did come off as a bit strained sometimes and jarring in the mood change. BUT IT'S AMAZING WHEN THEY'RE GIVEN THEIR OWN BOOK. Seriously, I can't get over the beauty of some of the sentences. less
