review 1: I was very happy with this installment of the Midnight Breed series. I haven't read the series in a while, so some characters and details were a little fuzzy for me. Luckily, the author gave just enough background info that I was caught up to speed on things without having to scroll through page after page of review. It is interesting to see a book in a series set 20 or so years after the beginning of the novels, but I feel that Ms. Adrian is doing a good job of keeping the storyline cohesive and not too out-there.I loved both characters! I felt that their story progressed at just the right pace, accepting that in these books soul mates usually find each other and commit pretty quickly. I felt a genuine connection with both characters and rooted for them both. I feel as th... moreought the book was left on a big cliffhanger in regards to Jordana's character, and I'm interested to see where that goes (also wouldn't mind another book about Nathan).
review 2: I love the Breed series by Lara Adrian - it is one of my favorite series. That being said, I had a harder time getting through this story in comparison to the others. I couldn't put the others down but this one I just kept making myself push through it. It was still a good story just not on the level I am used to seeing. I loved how the characters we have grown to love throughout the series all came together at the end of the book. I think that could be what is lacking for me. I love the original characters and I think it would be nice to see a little more of them throughout the stories especially when the story is about their child/children. I am looking forward to the next book. I love Lara Adrian and the Breed - this book just wasn't one of my favorites thus far and that's okay. less
