review 1: I had high expectations from this series but it didn't live up to them. I have to say that the benchmark is J. R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. Demonica doesn't even come close. If not compared to BDB it is not bad but it annoyed me in many parts mainly because the writer is trying too much. You know how it feels when you hear a lame joke and the joker goes on to explain it as if you're too stupid to get it? Don't you wish they'd shut up? I felt a lot like that. Oh, and last time I checked, having sex with a woman while she's drugged is rape. Presenting the woman loving it is sick.
review 2: I'm so fucking glad I looked at the title and went, FUCK IT. Cause this is seriously the first installment of my favorite series of PNR. Unless you include the Lords of ... moreDeliverance series... though I honestly just consider them one very awesomely long series. And I can't wait till December 16th when the next book comes out. Seriously? My birthday is on the 18th and I'm pretty sure I'm going to spend it reading, and IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT.Yes, the title, and the cover ALMOST put me off, but that thought makes me want to cry now. What if I had never read this?! WHAT IF?!?!Nobody touch me.Not sure if it's worth a read? Go ahead, try the first chapter... I'll see you at book 12. less
