review 1: I gave the book 5 stars. Why?Well No, it's not the best book I've ever read, not even close. But...for its genre? I think it very well may be. People tend to judge romance books on the same scale they judge every book. Personally, I'm not even reviewing this on a scale with other romance novels, but erotic novels, novels less about the romance and more about the lust. And for what it is.. it delivers, and it does so very well. This book isn't going to change your world in any profound way, you're not going to become attached to the characters or shed tears if they die, it's just not that kind of book. But if you want the lust and desire filled protagonists, and the raunchy sex scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat, along with a plot that is actually pretty enthrall... moreing, if not exactly practical, well then take a seat, sit back, grab some beer or wine and relax. This is the pick you've been looking for.
review 2: So..I'm a bit embarrassed I read that book and even more embarrassed that I'm giving it 5 starts. I'm very generous this week :D but hell.. it deserves it!The book was recommended to me some time ago as a cool read, it was collecting dust on my book shelf for some time. I just finished a massive series and wanted something light to read so I picked it up.I did not expect much, so I was very pleasantly surprised. The subject in itself seems just so outrageously ridiculous that I was impressed by what Larissa Ione did to it. It almost seems like she was assigned a story that would make her fail, but she made it work!There is humor, great character of sarcastic little shit Wraith (I love characters like that!) there's generally good writing. There was a point that I started laughing so hard that I had to put down the book.There's the story, again.. decent!The main character is not a sappy little girl that gets herself in trouble making stupid decisions. I was most impressed by that. There's nothing that annoys me more than stupid, sappy chicks.The time frame in my opinion is a little bit too short, but then again, hello! It's paranormal and things can be explained away! Yet there was logic.. great world building!Also loved the fact that we didn't get enough clues to actually solves some things on our own. For me it was a novelty and a good one, because quite frankly I'm a little bit tired of "seeing it coming". It leaves me guessing.. that was cool :D less
