review 1: This is the third book in the An Amish Mystery series. If you have read the previous two books, then you know that this is a great series. When you close the book Shunned and Dangerous, then you will know that it is an awesome series! This is the best book of the series, so far. If you know a little about the Amish, then you will go away knowing a lot. If you know a lot about the Amish, then be ready to be transported into their every day lives. You close the book with your heart so full and wanting more. By the way, you may want to have a box of tissue around for the last 10 pages or so.
review 2: I was really looking forward to the next installment in this series. I always have been intrigued by the Amish way of life. This series meets that general i... morenquisitiveness. However, the perpetrator was such a red herring and logistically impossible to move the victim to his 'found ' location that it was laughable. I enjoyed the budding romance of Claire and Jakob who is being shunned by his family. Then ending with her almost losing her shop and then a knight in white armor to save it is also unbelievable in today's world even in an Amish community. I probably will continue reading the series for pure enjoyment but definitely not for the murder plot development. less
