review 1: Bel romanzo.La storia è originale e ben narrata, i dialoghi sono accattivanti e arguti, la Guhrke si conferma autrice profonda e capace di suscitare emozioni anche nei dettagli.Dalle pagine traspare l'amore per i libri e per la storia antica da parte dei personaggi, elemento che diventa poi parte integrante e filo conduttore dell'amore tra i due protagonisti. E' stato bello rivedere due personaggi che ho amato come Emma e Marlowe; fantastico il personaggio di Julia, che fa ben sperare per il prossimo libro della serie.
review 2: I am not too big of a fan of this time period, it's a little too modern for me. More importantly, though, I did not like these characters. They both got on my nerves to some extent. They were selfish and it made it harder to accept the... moreir sacrifices in the end. Both of them were very attached to their dreams and seemed to be completely disinclined to change their minds. It made it hard for me to accept that at the last minute they would both be willing to sacrifice their dreams. less
