review 1: A 4 alarm fire as only Lauren Blakely can ignite !!! Megan is a beautiful ,although klutzy, once burned photographer in town to shoot her brother's fire company's Sexy Fireman calendar. Her rules and her brother's are clear >>>> Stay away from firemen !! She has lived how being married to a fireman had impacted her mother's and her life. No way would she get involved with one....too stressful!!Becker is Megan's brother Travis' best friend and fellow fire-fighter. Becker is ,of course,a sexy as hell fireman/bar-owner and when he sees this woman (Megan)in the alley behind his bar, all his other thoughts except her in his arms are up in smoke. Too late he finds out she is off limits. Does he break the " bro-code"? Can their undeniable sparks be denied? Are all the rules br... moreoken??? What do you think?? This is one sizzling hot read. There is a good share of drama, angst but seriously we are all invested here in the love story and this is a sweet one. There are rescues, motorcycles, fire house sex and tattoos to be had for all interested but most of all it is a love story of two people who made each other whole."You gave me a purpose. You gave me my myself back.....even though I can never give up the firehouse, I can give up this town.....I can give up this bar. I can give up my friends, but I can't give up you.....I can't promise you that I won't get hurt, but I can promise you I will do everything I can to come home to you. Wherever we are. " Extinguish me please!!!!
review 2: This book was all about the forbidden passion. Megan comes rolling into town and on her first night out she finds instant attraction with a bar owner Becker. They spend a sexy night together to find out that the next morning will bring new revelations. Megan doesn’t date firefighters after her father died in a fire. Becker believes in the best friend code and that guys do not date their best friend’s sisters. While tagging along with her brother, a firefighter and unbeknownst to Megan, Becker’s best friend, the two realize who each other truly are. However, these two are thrown together throughout the book and the tension between them becomes unbearable. Both try to fight it but neither can.Both Becker and Megan have damaged past but something about being around each other seems to ease the pain. However, Megan’s older brother forbids anything starting between them even though it already has.Can I just say that the hottest part in this book was the river scene where Megan takes Becker for his photo shoot? Holy heck! I think I had to read that part twice just so that I could live it twice. Becker was freaking hot!~BookWhisperer Reviewer MC less
