review 1: She does it again. I really liked this book... Not as much as the first book but still a lot. The beginning of the story was a little slow but the middle-the sexual tension between Eden and Mitch-was great! The pacing for their "situation" was fantastic. There were a few surprises and a couple of things I guessed were happening. I'll be starting book three shortly! I'd highly recommend this for anyone who likes paranormal romance or urban fantasy.
review 2: I think I took a star away due to dread; the dread of which character may die or do something incredibly stupid or careless, the dread that Jekyll is also going to end with a cliffhanger. These characters have so many issues they could form their own publisher's clearing house. My pet peeve with Kindle books
... more is that, at least for me, it is difficult to go back to check a plot point that you did not think was important as the story rushed past you. And both Jekyll and Hyde fly by with a vengeance. I still am not sure of the urban fantasy designation. These books remind me of Rachel Caine's Working Stiff series which I consider more science fiction/horror than UF. Some of the situations are chilling and violent. That said, I used a Christmas gift card to buy Strange Cases, so that I could finish the trilogy. less
