review 1: This book is about a boy named Danny and Danny met a friend Aki in Hawaii. One day they suddenly saw airplanes in the sky. And then Aki's mom came running and said that she knows a place where they can hide to be safe. They went underground and went into a hole and then Danny went back up out of the hole to find his mom. Danny finds one of his mom's friends who was badly hurt and then he finds his mom in the hospital. Danny even learns how to drive a military van with no keys. Danny has a friend named Finn. This was the beginning of the bombing. Japan was bombing the whole place in Hawaii. At the end Danny survives.
review 2: The book "The Bombing of Pearl Harbor" was a great read. This book focused on the real event of the bombing in Pearl Harbor, Haw... moreaii in 1941. This book is about a boy named Daniel and how his mom got a job in Hawaii. Daniel didn't particularly like Hawaii as he missed his friend Finn. As Daniel is about to leave on a ship back to New York, bombers start flying in, Daniel is right in the middle of it. Will Daniel survive? Find out in this action-packed book. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys short stories that have lots of action. less
